General warnings

Occasionally the size and dimensions of lifting accessories may differ from the specifications described in the catalogue. This normally is due to technical allowances. However technical modifications can be applied to better satisfy customers needs or to better fits market requirements.

TIL will inform customers and users of any change in technical specifications by swiftly releasing new version of its web site and catalogues. Check the section "New" for the last information.

TIL is committed to supply the BEST QUALITY. All products are tested using statistical procedures (i.e. MILITARY STD A105 and 414), 100% visual inspections, static and destructive tests are used consistently. Moreover specific sets of tests may be performed on the products. The company can provide at any time evidence of such tests.

TIL files each product documentation and complies rigorously with EU Directive 2006/42, and following amendments, to offer customers the best quality and safety.


Glossary

Static load: the load resulting from a force, or a system of forces, applied in static conditions

Working load limit: the maximum force the accessory is authorized to support in general service condition, with load applied in line with respect to the centerline. This term may interchanged with the following:
  • WLL
  • Rated load value
  • Resultant working load
Proof load: the average force applied during a proof test; load limit the accessory may be subjected before deformation occur.

Ultimate load: the average force the accessory may be subjected with no permanent deformations

Max load appliable: is the maximum load the accessory is authorized to support in particular condition of usage.

Safety factor: obtained dividing the ultimate load by the Working Load Limit

All products sold by TIL are covered by Product Liability Insurance. Upon request TIL can provide the documentation of the relevant insurance policies.


TIL and the environment

At TIL we consider the environmental impact of all materials we use in our products to maximise their recyclability and further usage. In detail:
  • paints are water soluble and free of chemical solvents; we are not aware of any instance of allergy reaction caused by such paints. Upon request TIL can provide more informations regarding the composition
  • painting and zinc plating are performed exclusively in plants which are EU environment protection compliant
  • our packaging tend to minimize consumption of material and maximise recycling in particular:
    • we use second hand recycled plastic/iron drums
    • sacks are light and resistant and can be used over and over again
    • wooden boxes and pallets are reusable
    • we used recycled cardboard boxes
